Purpose:

A Machine Operator Fabricator is responsible for operating machinery and equipment to fabricate parts, components, or entire products.

Essential Duties:

• Conducts spot welding
• Assist Fabrication Tech A when necessary
• Fabricates and assembles structural metal products
• Locates and marks bending and cutting lines
• Designs and constructs templates and fixtures
• Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications, using square ruler, and measuring tape
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow standard safety practices and regulations.
• Other miscellaneous duties as required/assigned.

Skill, Education, and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pass a 7 year Background check and Drug Screen
• Must be able to works independently and train others if required
• Demonstrates shop math skills
• Can interpret blueprints, specifications, production layouts, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, etc.
• Previous work-related experience and/or any vocational training, preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
• Must be able to stand, stoop, push, pull, and bend.
